Marcus delivers high value advice and commercial solutions, leveraging his expertise to tailor desirable results for even the most complex property related legal matters. Known for his commercial and pragmatic approach, his clients include funds management groups, developers and investors.

Marcus has extensive experience in property acquisitions and disposals, commercial, retail and industrial leasing, and property development for institutional clients.

In 2019, Hamilton Locke opened its Melbourne office and Marcus was integral to this launch. He continues to grow the property practice across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Marcus worked in London, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

  • Bachelor of Arts (with Honours), Town and Country Planning – Oxford Brookes University
  • Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course – University of Exeter

SELECTED REPRESENTATIONS

  • Acted for LaSalle Investment Management in connection with all leasing for the redevelopment of the landmark Melbourne luxury shopping precinct, St Collins Lane, Melbourne.
  • Acted for all leasing on 222 Exhibition Street, Melbourne, a 26-level office tower, including premises of 6,500m² to a major international provider of flexible workplaces and 15,000m² to the Victorian Government.
  • Acted for one of Australia’s largest institutional property groups on the leasing of its commercial office towers in Melbourne.
  • Acted for LaSalle Investment Management in relation to the leasing and associated work for the redevelopment of the Valley Metro retail shopping centre and office tower in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
